Britpave Barrier Systems Ltd (BBS) is a designer of premium barrier solutions primarily for the transport and security markets. It licenses these designs to pre-qualified partners enabling the construction of ‘quality assured’ barrier solutions in both concrete and steel. The company has a proven track record in delivering fully tested and certified systems that ultimately save lives and protect buildings and infrastructure within the UK and Internationally.

BBS has long-standing expertise in in-situ concrete dating back to 1991 when Britpave Trade Association was formed. Commercial barrier designs began in 2005 and the business has developed from there due to increased market demand. BBS Barriers was formed in June 2012 as a separate commercial organisation to focus on the Transport & Security markets more effectively.

Guarantee of Quality and Safety

BBS Barriers operates a system of Licensed Installers. All Installers must be approved by BBS and hold a licence. All our Licensees have extensive experience in the slipforming process and are able to demonstrate the quality of their work.

BBS Barriers  ensures that controls are implemented so that the promoted barrier products are installed in accordance with the as-tested system and Product Specifications. Product Specifications provide strict controls including material design, testing criteria, as built tolerances as well as quality and environmental certification.

The minimum quality and environmental standards for the Licensed Installer are third party certification to ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 by an accredited certification body. Licensees have access to advice, guidance and technical support from BBS.
