BBS were pleased to attend the launch reception for the UK Security Expo held at the House of Commons at the request of Rt Hon. Baroness Symons, who acknowledged “the longstanding desire for the UK to host a major-scale flagship event that welcomes a global end-user audience and recognises the UK as a centre-of-excellence for security capability.”

Among the speakers were former UK Security Minister Admiral Lord West, and current UK Security Minister Rt Hon. John Hayes. The clear message was ‘the time is right’ with reference to a showcase of security excellence from the British security industry.

The event will be held at the Olympia London, in December this year with 8,000 end-user heads of security from eight core sectors: Transport, Government, Energy, Major Events, Communications, Finance, Utilities and the Private Sector such as retail and hotel chains.
